Let’s Help Haiti

Haiti has been struck by disaster. While I recently wrote a post where I talked about how I thought it was the wrong decision to send troops to Haiti, that doesn’t mean I don’t think we should help. Any amount that can be given should be. Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world and they need our help now.

What Is America’s Role In The World? How Far Should We Go?

I like many Americans am questioning Obama’s decision to send troops to Haiti. I feel awful for the people in Haiti and hope only the best for them. But we are fighting in two wars right now, we have an economy still in shambles, people are losing jobs left and right, and the President is fully focused on health care. So should we be sending troops to help that nation when we have so many other problems we need to focus on?

A New Day, A New Year, It’s 2010!

A New Day, A New Year, It’s 2010!

Happy New Year! Well we’ve made it through 2009! It’s 2010 baby and everyone’s looking forward to a better year. We have the winter Olympics coming up really soon in Vancouver, some awesome football. I can’t wait to watch some of these college bowl games… especially the Championship. Go Bama! I can only hope that this year will be better for everyone. I know that most people had a rough year last year, especially with the economy and the job market, or lack thereof. But the stock market rebounded toward the end of last year and ended in green, so there’s a lot to be optimistic about. 2010 also means it’s time for midterm elections, it will be really interesting to see how it turns out. I am a little bias, but I think the Republicans are going to have a good year.

But most importantly I hope that it’s just a good year for everyone! I am looking forward to it and hope that it will be a successful year for all. I’m pumped, 2010, let’s do it!

Man Robs Taco Bell, Then Request A Job Application

Only in New York can a guy rob a Taco Bell and then ask for a job application. An armed man walked into a New York Taco Bell and demanded money and a job application, police said, according to MyFoxNY. The man walked in with a weapon and pointed it at the cashier. He demanded the cash out of the register. After getting nothing from the cashier this genius made his way to the managers office to ask for a job application. I guess he figured he could get more by actually working for a living… who knew.

WTF: Taffic Jams Can Help the Enviroment?

WTF: Taffic Jams Can Help the Enviroment?

According to the Wall Street Journal, traffic jams can help the environment. They report that traffic jams, if well managed can maintain a level of frustration that turns drivers into subway riders or pedestrians. While I am not sure about the whole pedestrian thing, I we could see a drastic drop in the economy if everyone decided to walk to work… I mean how the hell is someone going to get to work at o’dark-thirty if they have to walk the whole way.
