Random Thoughts for Today: Shit My Dad Emails Me

This is a great email I got today from my dad. It kind of reminds me of the Twitter account from @ShitMyDadSays. And the best part is it’s all so true. I love the one about “there really needs to be a sarcasm font,” I can’t tell you how many times my friends have mistaken a joke for me being serious when it’s typed. New rule: A sarcasm font must be in Italics, Bold, Uppercase and in RED! And bad decisions do make good stories, I think everyone knows that from… well let’s just say experience?

Who’s Worse: Kayne or Hitler?

25 Oct 2009, written by Dustin Mooney 0 Comments

Check out this video of quotes made by either Kayne West or Adolf Hitler. Try and figure them out, the similarities are amazing. Kayne has been trying to stay out of the way lately, but the jokes have continued despite his half-hearted efforts. For some reason every time Kayne West opens his mouth something extremely moronic comes out. Overall I think he’s an ass that has no business making as much money as he does, but for some reason he thinks he can rap and some idiot producers pay him to do it.

Balloon Boy Parody (Music Video)

22 Oct 2009, written by Dustin Mooney 0 Comments

Wow, this was hilarious. It shows you how stupid the whole balloon boy story was in the first place. A group of kids put together a music video, based on the original “I’m on a Boat” song, and to be honest, I liked it a lot more than the original song. The music video was meant to parody the “balloon boy” incident from a little while back.

Letterman Admits to Sex With Coworkers

Well, as most of you know by now, Letterman has admitted to numerous sexual relationships with members of his staff. He was blackmailed by an unnamed person who wanted $2 million to keep quiet. Letterman, in my mind, did the right thing in admitting the affairs and not paying off this man. He also did the right thing by not naming the women in the affair, although we all know it’s only a matter of time before someone finds out who they are, and a few of them have already been identified.

Welcome!

Hey guys,

I just wanted to take a second to officially welcome everyone to my weblog. Dustin’s Dispatch at DustinMooney.com is where I will post on my mind. I will cover headline news and politics, entertainment news, comedy and funny stuff from around the web, stuff from school, tech and sporting news, videos and other random stuff I find interesting. I love the interaction from readers and people letting me know what’s important to them.

The blog design has changed multiple times throughout the years, but the Obox Platform Theme is something that I really like and will continue to customize and perfect. Any site design or logo ideas are always welcomed.

Writing has always been something I have enjoyed. I love sharing my views and opinions on politics, news and current events. I love covering entertainment, technology and sporting news. I also enjoy throwing in random thoughts and post, stuff from school and anything funny I can think of. I hope you enjoy it and keep coming back.

Thanks and enjoy,
Dustin

What Is America’s Role In The World? How Far Should We Go?

I like many Americans am questioning Obama's decision to send troops to Haiti. I feel awful for the people in Haiti and hope only the best for them. But we are fighting in two wars right now, we have an economy still in shambles, people are losing jobs left and right, and the President is fully focused on health care. So should we be sending troops to help that nation when we have so many other problems we need to focus on?
