About a week and a half ago I got the chance to sit in on a speech given by Bob Barr who is running for President on the Libertarian ticket. He walked in nearly twenty minutes late to a great applause by the three hundred or so onlookers and took his position at the podium which had a laminated “Bob Barr 08″ poster taped to it. One of the first issues he addressed was how he was getting very little media coverage, and how that made it hard for people to take him seriously as a presidential candidate. This former congressman talked about the two party status quo and how there are a lot of people out there that believe that voting for a third party candidate is a “wasted” vote.

Even though you might not be able to tell, I am somewhat moderate. But I am a “Republican” as you can tell by what I write. I just believe that Obama is the wrong man for the job and I strived to relay that information in the comment that I left in reply on his Facebook profile. In everything I write I strive to be as moderate as I can and bring both sides of the story to the table, although this is a poor example, because I wanted to make my point and was not originally intending to share it with everyone through this outlet.”

Wow, the rumor mill has been on fire with the Palin pregnancy issue. Those who oppose Sarah as the Vice Presidential nomination say that if she can’t control her family how is she going to run the country or operate in the office of the Vice President. That is total bull… every family has problems! I am sick of everyone blaming Sarah for her daughters mistake and I am even more upset with everyone getting on the case of a 17 year old girl. I think the mainstream media should pick on someone their own size!
