End of the Semester, Final Exams
09 Dec 2009, written by Dustin Mooney 0 CommentsI just wanted to give everyone an update. This week (and into next week) is finals week for me. The semester is coming to an end and the Holiday season is upon us. I am not going to be posting as much because of everything going on. I should be back to normal after next Monday’s exam but until then I am going to have to study.
Loads of Chicks Getting Pregnant In A Chicago High School
25 Oct 2009, written by Dustin Mooney 0 CommentsApparently the boys and girls at Robeson High School have been busy. 115 of the 800 girls at this high school, that’s roughly 1 in 8, are pregnant. Now maybe I’m wrong but I think that the school district should review their sex education courses, because there appears to be some miscommunication at one level or another. Haven’t any of these chicks ever seen an after-school special?

Bob Barr Speaks to UCF Student
03 Oct 2008, written by Dustin Mooney 0 CommentsAbout a week and a half ago I got the chance to sit in on a speech given by Bob Barr who is running for President on the Libertarian ticket. He walked in nearly twenty minutes late to a great applause by the three hundred or so onlookers and took his position at the podium which had a laminated “Bob Barr 08″ poster taped to it. One of the first issues he addressed was how he was getting very little media coverage, and how that made it hard for people to take him seriously as a presidential candidate. This former congressman talked about the two party status quo and how there are a lot of people out there that believe that voting for a third party candidate is a “wasted” vote.

What Is America’s Role In The World? How Far Should We Go?
I like many Americans am questioning Obama's decision to send troops to Haiti. I feel awful for the people in Haiti and hope only the best for them. But we are fighting in two wars right now, we have an economy still in shambles, people are losing jobs left and right, and the President is fully focused on health care. So should we be sending troops to help that nation when we have so many other problems we need to focus on?
