A New Day, A New Year, It’s 2010!

Happy New Year! Well we’ve made it through 2009! It’s 2010 baby and everyone’s looking forward to a better year. We have the winter Olympics coming up really soon in Vancouver, some awesome football. I can’t wait to watch some of these college bowl games… especially the Championship. Go Bama! I can only hope that this year will be better for everyone. I know that most people had a rough year last year, especially with the economy and the job market, or lack thereof. But the stock market rebounded toward the end of last year and ended in green, so there’s a lot to be optimistic about. 2010 also means it’s time for midterm elections, it will be really interesting to see how it turns out. I am a little bias, but I think the Republicans are going to have a good year.

But most importantly I hope that it’s just a good year for everyone! I am looking forward to it and hope that it will be a successful year for all. I’m pumped, 2010, let’s do it!

End of the Semester, Final Exams

I just wanted to give everyone an update. This week (and into next week) is finals week for me. The semester is coming to an end and the Holiday season is upon us. I am not going to be posting as much because of everything going on. I should be back to normal after next Monday’s exam but until then I am going to have to study.

Confessions Of A 30k Millionaire

“It’s Better To Fake It Than To Make It” – “Trent Monica”, Dallas, Texas Hairstylist and self proclaimed “King Of The 30KM Circuit.” I recently had the opportunity after a Dallas Mavericks game to sit down with Trent Monica. Trent is a Dallas Hair stylist. He is also the self proclaimed “King Of The 30k Millionaires” otherwise known as the “30kM circuit.”

Random Thoughts for Today: Shit My Dad Emails Me

Random Thoughts for Today: Shit My Dad Emails Me

This is a great email I got today from my dad. It kind of reminds me of the Twitter account from @ShitMyDadSays. And the best part is it’s all so true. I love the one about “there really needs to be a sarcasm font,” I can’t tell you how many times my friends have mistaken a joke for me being serious when it’s typed. New rule: A sarcasm font must be in Italics, Bold, Uppercase and in RED! And bad decisions do make good stories, I think everyone knows that from… well let’s just say experience?

Loads of Chicks Getting Pregnant In A Chicago High School

Loads of Chicks Getting Pregnant In A Chicago High School

Apparently the boys and girls at Robeson High School have been busy. 115 of the 800 girls at this high school, that’s roughly 1 in 8, are pregnant. Now maybe I’m wrong but I think that the school district should review their sex education courses, because there appears to be some miscommunication at one level or another. Haven’t any of these chicks ever seen an after-school special?

What Is America’s Role In The World? How Far Should We Go?

I like many Americans am questioning Obama's decision to send troops to Haiti. I feel awful for the people in Haiti and hope only the best for them. But we are fighting in two wars right now, we have an economy still in shambles, people are losing jobs left and right, and the President is fully focused on health care. So should we be sending troops to help that nation when we have so many other problems we need to focus on?

Today there was an attempted terrorist attack onboard a Delta flight en route to Detroit.
