Alright, I just watched Sarah Palin’s interview on Oprah thanks to YouTube. I will post some of the highlights below. Overall I would say her interview went well, a lot better than her Katie Couric interview. I have been a critic of her’s since that infamous interview. I’ve always thought she was thrown onto the national stage to early. She went on Oprah to talk about the 2008 campaign, her family, and her book. I will talk more about her book in part two of my Sarah Palin chronicles.

Right now I just want to talk about the interview. One thing I thought was pretty funny was how Palin complained about the non-answers that McCain’s team gave her for her debate prep, when in the interview she gave her fair share of non-answers. The two of them talked about how Levi (a.k.a. Ricky Hollywood) and his “porn” shoot as Palin called it. On the upside she extended an open invitation for Levi to join the Palin gang for Thanksgiving. I did enjoy the Letterman joke last night, mainly because in my mind there’s a lot of truth to it: Letterman said something to the effect of, “is posing nude for PlayGirl really the best the ‘brain trust’ around him could come up with”?

The two also spoke about the election where Sarah thought she was too scripted. But in my opinion, once again after the Couric interview, she’s lucky they didn’t muzzle her. And I don’t mean that in the metaphorical sense. During the interview she also talked about the Couric interview where she said she felt ambushed. I can understand that, I mean knowing what you’ve read can be difficult for some of those who haven’t read anything.

The interview was about a half-hour long and went through the Palin life. Once again I will say that she did a good job. When asked about a potential Presidential run in 2012 she basically said that she’s not thinking that far ahead. Which is good, I am not one of those people who like a President who thinks about the future. But who knows, maybe she’ll run, she can only be so much worse than Obama, but hey that’s just one mans opinion.
